The only reason I ever watched Star Wars and Star Trek was to see what the ladies from space were wearing. As the light sabers flashed around like irritating neon mosquitoes, I gazed transfixed at the never ending parade of elaborate gowns and headdresses thinking "who designed that?" Do they have couture week on Planet Nabu?... If it was up to me, I would put Patricia Field to work on a new TV series called "Sex in the Spaceship". Maybe in a few millenia...

Wow. Sometimes I wish I ruled another planet so that I could dress like this every day. (From Pier Lim's collection at the Fashion Institute Student show in Manila- via manila style).

Hahaha! Well if that ever works out, give me a call. I'll introduce 'jeans and T-shirt' chic to the runway :P
Now that is called crazy beautiful.
Wow. That's stunning!

Thank link is for Woody Allen's "Sleeper" a hilarious futuristic satire I highly recommend. And the fashion is rather interesting as well.
The 2004 spring and summer collection from Alexander Mcqueen oozed futuristic space details. Remember those metallic accents and crazy body suits? Also, if you haven't seen 2046 by Wong Kar Wai, you should see it just for the fashion. It has Chinese glamour from the 60's and android fashion. Anyways, your post reminded me of all of that.
