bloom, baby, bloom

Marchesa (designed by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig) pulled a Thumbelina too, but this time it worked. Their flower femmes were like the sexy older sisters of Erin Fetherston's frou-frou fairies. Maybe it is just the red soled Louboutin pumps and wild mirrored runway, but ay carumba, I had not previously imagined that frothy dresses spilling over with silk roses could look so fierce.

I foresee much Marchesa on the red carpets next year.

although lovely & elegant, this look is mildly ruined for me by project runway angela's cloying use of rosettes.

Ah. I confess I have never watched Project Runway and was spared her "cloying use of rosettes".

F'ing A! You were IN BRYANT PARK AND WE DIDN'T MEET???!!

Ugh, Julie might have lent you her camera but that doesn't help that she turned out to be a major fraud. You were in the audience there at Marc Bauer? Because I was sitting in the middle row behind Ivana Trump. F*ck! Did I talk to you backstage at all? Which shows did you walk in?!

What a sad missed connection!

...btw, you could have had internet access the whole time in the MAC booth in the lobby of the Tents. :-) Next time.

The grey dress was worn by Sienna Miller to the opera opening, so it'll be either huge or hated within five minutes, depending how good Factory Girl is and how sick we get of the Law-Miller escapade
