flower children

Erin Fetherston's clothing should only be attempted if your name is Thumbelina and you live in a walnut shell. 'Twinkle, twinkle little star' even played in the background for a collection that was inspired by the idea that Fetherstonites are like flowers "sprouting from a sidewalk in an urban environment".

Sweet idea, but her designs had too many petals, puffs and general frou-frou for my taste.

What I did like:

Those heart necklaces- their size and glossy smoothness remind me of worrystones.

The laser cut flowers- though they would perhaps look better on a cherry blossom mobile hanging above someone's bed than on the bottom of a dress.

And... the general eschewance of self tanner. What can I say, Dita von Teese is my style icon of the week!

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the collection :) though I liked a lot of the dresses in wendybird but they must not be from the same collection.

i loved the heart necklaces, i actually have one extremely similar to those, except it's silver, so maybe i'm partial..
i did like her collection, though they're obviously not items you'd wear everyday. but just on rare occasions they could really be special.

Cheers on the Dita mention. I love her pale look. I am so sick of mahogany-tanned bimbos.

Also... loved the heart necklaces. They remind me of something Carrie would've worn. RIP Carrie Bradshaw.

I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to fashion, but it really reminds me of some kind of fairy costume convention. Or a character out of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.
