shallow side note

Um... male models. It is difficult to be even vaguely articulate about this topic- I will just say that it is a sin for guys this gorgeous to exist, let alone be wandering around distracting all the fashionettes who are hard at work. [Obviously] I'm not referring to Hedi Slimane's brigade of prepubescent anorexics. I'm talking about the impossibly tall, tanned and toned Slavic creatures that are walking around Bryant Park right now. If you speak Russian, then you are in luck, because they certainly don't speak English. But speech is overrated anyway- particularly if you are hanging with "Sven" :)

hehehe... my favorite "boyfriends" are those whom speak not a lick of english!! I just like to hear some sexy language and make up what it means-- "oh, lacey, I have never met such an amazing, stunning woman..." I hope you flirt it up with Sven!

Well, I too have a meat market enfatuation with models (only of the female variety)perhaps more than I care to admit. But, more to the point, what did you see in mens fashion that you liked?

I could not agree with you more. I can't take my eyes off of them when they are on the runway!

!!! Sven is most likely Swedish... so be careful, he might just be pretending... we tend to all speak at least decent english over here!
There are a few nice ones in Stockholm too by the way, but, sadly, tooooo young for me (30+)!
Anyway. Aaah the tall, broad-shouldered gods with long hair and high cheekbones! Love them...

lacey: haha, ja I've had similar experiences.

geekigirl: sorry! I was too busy drooling... most of them are up at coacd (confessions of a casting director) though...

j: you are only human :)

Men's fashion? Well, the Sartorialist was probably one of the best dressed men around (pink shirt/dark blue suit). The male models wore loose jeans, figure hugging Ts, scarves and funky Euro trainers. I tend to like casual rather than formal, so I thought they looked quite cool.

To be honest, I don't pay much attention to the men, besides thinking "why are they wearing anthing really- let's just run around naked" :)

elsa: ditto, unless they are emaciated

bopper: yeah, not to worry ;)

karin: quite right! Actually, Sven is just the name I give to any random gorgeous guy I come across- most of the models were actually called Yuri/Viktor etc. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a Swede though- I'm Finnish, so perhaps we'd pair well?!

Thanks for stopping by, I love your blog.
