drinking with napoleon

Alors, today is La Femme's 19th birthday... In celebration of reaching drinking age in Canada, a friend has given me a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne (Napoleon's favourite). Birthday cake was swapped for scones, clotted cream and a multitude of gorgeous mini desserts served during High Tea at a Posh Hotel. I feel like swanning around with a cigarette, half empty bottle, and very high heels like Joanna Lumley's character Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous, but unfortunately, must be at work in 7 hours. Oh well, late tonight me and my miu mius may go out for a first legal drink. Excellent.

I hope you realize you were chief among the "minimal text, white background" blogs which caused my fit of jealousy earlier in the week.

You do a fabulous job with La Femme. : )

*merci beaucoup*

I love Tribunal of Good Taste. (Btw, "messy", "disjointed", and "gruppy" are not words that I would use to describe your fab blog). Gruppy is a great word though. I hadn't heard it before reading your entry.
