madge the model

Madonna is rumoured to be the face of H&M's fall collection. Hmmm. I'm not sure what to think of this... I was hoping that the Viktor & Rolf capsule collection would be modelled by someone lesser known- and less hyped up. I suppose that if the Viktor & Rolf for H&M line includes face coverings like their fall collection did, it won't matter who is modelling it.

if it is true, great! Not everyday an older woman takes on a younger look by storm!
Madonna is my age, so I guess that is why I am silly giddy...makes me feel younger too!

It does all sort of fit. Other H&M collaborations have been with much more "celebrity" designers. Viktor & Rolf are lesser known, so a very high profile Face makes sense.
Though, I'm a little anxious about the whole thing to be honest!

Her Gap campaign was a bit of a lemon wasn't it? I like that they'd use 'an older woman', even if Madonna certainly does alright for 48, but wealthy Madonna and cheap and cheerful H&M? Not sure if I'd fall for that.

Let's just hope that it will not resemble her last photoshoot in W Magazine...with horses and undertones of bestiality and sex. Oh and no backless dresses, have you SEEN that back?!

Yes, her back is scarily muscled. That one shot in the W spread made her back look like seriously sculpted marble.

I admire Madonna, but she never looks happy/fun to me, which seems to be what H&M is all about.
