pocket science

The trend of pockets in formal dresses is growing on me. Back in March I had mixed feelings, but I have come to think that the simple addition of pockets to a gorgeous dress can, if worn correctly, endow the wearer with a certain elegant nonchalance. As with anything, posture is of course key, and the combination of a femme with balletic mien, casually resting her hands in the folds of her skirt is intriguing. Then again, I am a fan of Anna Mouglalis, so perhaps she has just stylewashed me with repeat presentations of her favourite pocketed Chanel lbd (ici et ici)...
