if gucci is your god...

A prayer for fellow Bootists.
(to the beat of "Our Father")

Armani
Who art in Holts*
Hallowed be thy shoes
Thy Prada come
Thy shopping done
On Bloor Street**
As it is in Paris
Give us this day, our Visa Gold
And forgive us our balance
As we forgive those who charge us interest
Lead us not into Wal-Mart
And deliver us from Sears***
For thine is the Chanel
The Gaultier, and the Versace,
For Dolce and Gabbana
Amex.

Legend
* Canada's version of Saks Fifth Avenue
** Toronto's high street (on which La Femme happened to be born)
*** Akin to Macys
Joyeux Noël. Bonnes fêtes. Don't shop too hard!

fashion should always be blasphemous.
or,
blasphemy is always in fashion.

Please tell me if I'm going to fashion hell: I bought the cutest black knit top yesterday at Target from their Mossimo collection. It's seriously cute. I promise to repent by making a pilgrimage to Vanessa Bruno as soon as I'm back in Paris next week.

This prayer is no blasphemy, it is divine. This is what I will recite in class in the future when asked to lead the morning prayer, which I'm sure will delight my religion teacher..
Merry Christmas as well from the grinch!

“La Femme, my fashionable Sophia, what enspells your fallen divine wisdom? What ignorance entraps you in the toils of world illusion? I fear your creative force is held captive by capitalism.”

“Yes, j, I await someone rare and to be marveled at, a guileless fool to transform me through innocence and compassion to heal my lust, to set me free.”

“But la Femme, the guileless fool is your own captive creative force.”

She studies me with incalculable prasine eyes on this Christmas day.

Haha..brilliant!!

Just thought I'd let you know that "The Big Style Icon Hunt" is going on on my blog. Right now it is Mary Kate Olsen vs. Ashley Olsen, so if you like any of their styles and you want to vote for one of them, then check it out. It will be much appreciated =D

*big hugs*
