a chic riveter indeed

Fashion editorials are turban saturated thanks to Prada's much hyped revamp of the '40s headdress, but until today I had not seen any regular mortals choosing to wear one (and certainly not in a way that showcased their own individual style).

Not surprisingly, this woman was spotted in Paris, and it looks like she has more panache in one little finger than most of the people laying down $400 for a Prada turban could ever hope for. She reminds me of Rosie the Riveter- with a dash of Coco Chanel.

she looks lovely, what a young mum! yeah, the turban... can be handy, perhaps if it's viewed as a functional object (ie, putting off the days between hairwashing) we'd see it more often. also, being french helps.

She's so relaxed about it all, which makes her doubly chic! Great pic.

What an inspiration!

I hope it doesn't bother you that I added you to my blog list, as I like your blog. But what's that "Finnish royalty"- thing? Finland's not a monarchy and never has been. Sorry if I am just not getting the joke.

la primavera: Of course I don't mind- you've been on my list for a while too. Beautiful blog.

The Finnish royalty reference is a joke. Many people ask if I am able to travel so much due to family riches or something. In actuality, my relatives were regular mortals (Finnish farmers) and I work and save for months before travelling or shopping.

some say that the urgban is a good "hide misery" trick...

So chic, she's stuck to the classics; the black dress, the red lipstick and she looks so lovely. I hadn't really been persuaded that turbans were a good fashion choice but I am now.
